A Quick Overview of Business Development
In larger companies, a business development manager may take the primary responsibility for the role, although the business developer role may be divided between multiple individuals in order to accomplish the responsibilities.
Small Business Development
The Office of Small Business Development Centers are a collaborative effort between the local, state, and Federal Government and the private sector. There are 63 Small Business Development Centers, one in each of the fifty sates, as well as the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico, Samoa, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The additional centers are because the State of Texas has four and the State of California has six.
