Adipex-P
Adipex-p is the trade name for phentermine, which is a stimulant that helps—when combined with exercise and diet—to induce weight loss. Adipex-P is typically prescribed to patients that need to lose weight immediately because of health risks (i.e. high blood pressure) associated with obesity. As a stimulant, only a regimented exercise program with Adipex-P can help the patient lose weight. Ultimately, the drug is ineffective by itself; without an exercise program, the drug is habit forming.
What is the typical dosage of Adipex-P?
The typical treatment plan for Adipex-p is 3 – 6 weeks long; the most common form of Adipex-P is 37.5mg tablets. These slow release tablets are swallowed whole; doses, if missed, may be made up so long as there is a significant interval before the next scheduled dose. Doses should never be skipped; however, spacing Adipex-P is important to ensuring normal reactions and diminishes the chances of dependency. Threats of overdose is serious as Adipex-p is a stimulant.
Adipex-P should not be taken if you arebreast-feeding, pregnant or planning to become pregnant. For this reason, those that are pregnant will have to go through with the pregnancy and then be independently evaluated for their suitability to lose wright through this drug.
