§ 9-506. Consultant.
 

(a)  Required.- The Trust shall retain an architect as a consultant. 

(b)  Qualifications.- The consultant must: 

(1) be registered by the State Board of Architects; 

(2) be familiar with all phases of 18th century architecture; and 

(3) have the professional experience that is needed to restore the State House in a way that befits its majestic history and its current role as the Capitol. 

(c)  Compensation.- The consultant is entitled to the compensation provided in the State budget. 

(d)  Duties.- The consultant shall: 

(1) prepare measured drawings of the State House; 

(2) publish the drawings and a descriptive text; 

(3) send copies of the drawings to the National Trust for Historic Preservation; and 

(4) subject to § 2-1246 of this article, submit to the General Assembly a report on the drawings.
