§ 10-202.1. Nutria management plan.
 

(a)  Development, adoption and implementation.- The Secretary shall develop, adopt, and implement a comprehensive nutria management plan to eradicate the species Myocastor coypu (nutria) from the State. 

(b)  Funding.- In addition to any funding provided under § 10-308.1 of this title, the Department shall seek funding from federal, private, and other sources to implement fully the nutria management plan until nutria are eradicated from the State. 

(c)  Reports.-  

(1) In accordance with § 2-1246 of the State Government Article, the Secretary shall report annually to the General Assembly beginning July 1, 1995 and by July 1 each year thereafter until the nutria have been eradicated from the State. 

(2) The report shall include data on the implementation of the nutria management plan, including: 

(i) Expenditures and future funding needs; 

(ii) Nutria removed from the population; 

(iii) Results from specific efforts to remove nutria; and 

(iv) An assessment of the success of the plan.
