On September 5, 1973 an unidentified female was located in a hilly area near a fire road by East Skyline Drive. The decedent is estimated to be 14-19 years old and thought to have been deceased for 30 to 90 days prior to the discovery of her remains. She had shoulder-length light brown hair. She was wearing a green turtleneck long-sleeve sweater; a blue, pink and yellow halter hop; light blue corduroy pants with the initials “SJ” on the right rear pocket; and blue tennis shoes (size 6). She had pierced ears and was wearing gold metal earrings of peace symbols. Her fingernails were painted orange. Images of the decedent’s earrings and label from her pants are shown to the left. |
