Appellant requests an expansion of State v. Scales, 518 N.W.2d 587 (Minn. 1994), in which this court mandated that police record all custodial interrogations or risk suppression of the evidence obtained. While many of the benefits of recording custodial interrogations would accrue to noncustodial interrogations, the interests of justice do not require an expansion of Scales at this time. Affirmed.
