Lying v. Northwest Indian CPA was a decision by the Supreme Court of the United States over a dispute about the range of the First Amendment right to the free exercise of religion.[1] It held that the United States Forest Service was free to harvest the lands by building a paved roadway that would cut through the Chimney Rock area of the Six Rivers National Forest.[2]
