§15-1E-51. Contempts.
A military court may punish for contempt any member of the national guard who uses any menacing word, sign or gesture in its presence, or who disturbs its proceedings by any riot or disorder. The punishment may not exceed confinement for thirty days or a fine of one hundred dollars, or both. Any person other than a member of the national guard who shall resort to disorderly, contemptuous or insolent behavior in, or use any insulting or indecorous language or expressions to or before, any military court, or any member of either of such courts, in open court, to interrupt the proceedings or to impair the authority of such courts, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and may be arrested by the order of the president of the court, and at once delivered to the civil authorities; and such person, if found guilty, shall be fined not less than five nor more than fifty dollars, or imprisoned in the county jail not exceeding thirty days, or both fined and imprisoned.
