§ 60.2-108. The Commission; appointment, term of office and compensation ofCommissioner.
The Virginia Employment Commission shall consist of one Commissioner, whoshall be appointed by the Governor for a term of four years, subject toconfirmation by the General Assembly, if in session when such appointment ismade, and if not in session, then at its next succeeding session.Appointments to fill vacancies shall be for the unexpired terms. TheCommissioner may be suspended or removed by the Governor at his pleasure, andhe shall receive such compensation as may be provided in accordance with law.
