§ 6.1-194.141. (Repealed effective October 1, 2010) Regulations to permitstate savings banks to have powers comparable to federal financialinstitutions.

The Commission is authorized to adopt such regulations as may be necessary topermit state savings banks to have powers comparable with those of federalfinancial institutions, regardless of any then existing statute, regulationor court decision limiting or denying such powers to state savings banks.The requirement of a public hearing shall not automatically apply toregulations promulgated under this section, but the Commission may have suchhearing as it deems appropriate.
