§ 53.1-200. Conditions for good conduct allowance.
Regulations approved by the Board shall govern the earning of good conductallowance. The regulations shall require, as a condition for earning theallowance, that a prisoner participate in an appropriate educational,training, work, counseling or substance abuse program or other programintended for his rehabilitation, as provided in § 53.1-32.1. The amount ofgood conduct allowance to be credited to those persons eligible thereforshall be based upon compliance with written prison rules or regulations; ademonstration of responsibility in the performance of assignments; and ademonstration of a desire for self-improvement.
