§ 46.2-344. Temporary driver's permit.

The Department, upon determining, after an examination, that an applicant ismentally, physically, and otherwise qualified to receive a license, may issueto him a temporary driver's permit entitling him, while having the permit inhis immediate possession, to drive a motor vehicle on the highways. Thetemporary driver's permit shall be valid until receipt of the driver'slicense but in no case shall be valid for more than 90 days from the date ofissuance.
