§ 38.2-614. Powers of Commission.
A. The Commission shall have the power to examine and investigate the affairsof any insurance institution or agent doing business in this Commonwealth todetermine whether the insurance institution or agent has been or is engagedin any conduct in violation of this chapter.
B. The Commission shall have the power to examine and investigate the affairsof any insurance-support organization that acts on behalf of an insuranceinstitution or agent and that either (i) transacts business in thisCommonwealth, or (ii) transacts business outside this Commonwealth and has aneffect on a person residing in this Commonwealth, in order to determinewhether the insurance-support organization has been or is engaged in anyconduct in violation of this chapter.
