§ 28.2-531. Taking clams on Sunday or at night; exception; penalty.
It shall be unlawful for any person to take clams from either public orprivate grounds, on Sunday or between sunset and sunrise. This section shallnot apply to (i) the taking of clams on Sunday by hand or hand rake betweensunrise and sunset if the clams are for personal use only and not forplanting or commercial use, or (ii) the taking of cultured hard-shell clamson Sunday.
A violation of this section is a Class 3 misdemeanor.
