§ 24.2-662. Procedure when paper ballots exceed names on pollbooks.

If the ballots in the container exceed the number of names on the pollbooksof persons who voted on paper ballots, all ballots shall be replaced in theballot container. Then, after the container is well shaken, an officer ofelection, being blindfolded, shall withdraw a sufficient number of ballots toreduce the number of ballots left in the container to the number of suchnames on the pollbooks. The drawn ballots shall be set aside and not counted.
