§ 23-4.1. Sale or lease of interest in real property granted by purchase,deed or gift; granting of easements.
The boards of visitors or trustees of all State educational institutions,with the approval of the Governor first obtained, are hereby authorized tolease or sell and convey whatever interest they may have in real propertythat has been or may hereafter be acquired by purchase, will or deed of gift.
The proceeds from such leases, sales and conveyances shall be held, used andadministered in the same manner as all other gifts and bequests are held,used and administered.
Nothing in this section shall be construed as authorizing or empowering thelease, or sale and conveyance of such real property contrary to the terms andconditions of the will or deed of gift.
Such boards of visitors or trustees are authorized to grant easements forroads, streets, sewers, waterlines, electric and other utility lines or otherpurposes on any property now owned or hereafter acquired by such boards ofvisitors or trustees, when, in the discretion of such visitors or trustees itis deemed proper to grant such easements.
