§ 2.2-2711. Boating Advisory Committee; purpose; membership; meetings;compensation.
A. The Boating Advisory Committee (the "Committee") is established as anadvisory committee, within the meaning of § 2.2-2100, in the executive branchof state government. The purpose of the Board shall be to advise and makerecommendations to the Board of Game and Inland Fisheries, the MarineResources Commission and other state agencies concerning any proposedregulations, policies or other issues that would directly affect therecreational boating public.
B. The Committee shall consist of eleven members to be appointed by theSecretary of Natural Resources, as follows: members shall represent theUnited States Power Squadrons; the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary; theChesapeake Bay Yacht Clubs Association; and the general boating public ofthis Commonwealth.
C. Members of the Boating Advisory Committee shall meet at least once a yearand serve without compensation but shall be reimbursed for their reasonableand necessary expenses incurred in the discharge of their duties as providedin § 2.2-2825.
