§ 19.2-365. Duties of attorney for Commonwealth upon filing of such petition.
The attorney for the Commonwealth, at or before the hearing of such petition,shall file an answer to the same. He shall cause to be summoned suchwitnesses and shall introduce all such testimony as may be necessary andproper to protect the interest of the Commonwealth; and the petitioner maycause to be summoned such witnesses and shall introduce all such testimony asmay be necessary and proper to protect his interest.
