§ 16.1-69.32:1. Substitution of counsel.
Except in case of court-appointed counsel, no rule of court shall be made orconstrued so as to preclude substitution of counsel in civil and criminalcases in the district courts, nor shall any order or appearance in person, berequired, to relieve original counsel of his duties in any such case. Itshall be sufficient that new counsel represents to the court that thesubstitution is made pursuant to agreement by the parties represented andoriginal counsel.
