§ 15.2-506. Investigation of county officers.

The board may inquire into the official conduct of any office or officerunder its control, and investigate the accounts, receipts, disbursements andexpenses of any county or district officer. For these purposes it maysubpoena witnesses, administer oaths and require the production of books,papers and other evidence. Any witness who fails or refuses to obey an orderof the board, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.
