§ 15.2-1656. Supplies and equipment to be furnished to clerks of courts ofrecord.
The governing body of each county and city shall, at the expense of thecounty or city, provide (i) suitable books and stationery, in addition tosupplies furnished by the Commonwealth, for the use of clerks of all courtsof record, together with appropriate cases and other furniture, for the safeand convenient keeping of all the books, documents and papers, in the custodyof such officers; (ii) official seals for such officers; and (iii) such otheroffice equipment and appliances as in their judgment may be reasonablynecessary for the proper conduct of such offices.
