§ 1-407. Concurrent jurisdiction of Commonwealth and United States overcertain lands leased to political subdivisions.
Whenever the United States government has exclusive jurisdiction overproperty located in the Commonwealth of Virginia, and leases the property, orpart thereof, to any political subdivision to be used by it for a publicpurpose, the exclusive jurisdiction shall cease as to the property so leasedand the Commonwealth and the United States government shall have concurrentjurisdiction over the property so long as the lease continues. At thetermination of the lease the jurisdiction of the Commonwealth shall cease andthe United States shall have exclusive jurisdiction thereof.
