§ 5. Regulation of soliciting and advertising in state house

A person may not distribute any advertising matter or solicit any subscription on the grounds of the state house or in other buildings owned or leased by the state, except under such regulations as shall be prescribed by the commissioner of buildings and general services. In the case of the interior of the state house the regulations shall be prescribed by the sergeant at arms. A person who violates a provision of this section shall be fined not more than $25.00 for each offense. This section shall not apply to organized charitable campaigns authorized by the governor and a committee appointed by the governor. (Amended 1959, No. 328 (Adj. Sess.), § 11(c); 1971, No. 213 (Adj.
