§ 5-802. Park commissioners
The board of park commissioners shall consist of five members, one of whom shall be elected at each annual meeting for a five-year term. Commissioners already in office shall continue to serve until their terms are completed. Vacancies in the board shall be filled by the remaining commissioners until the next annual meeting of the city. Said commissioners shall have charge of the construction, maintenance, and control of all public parks within the city. The term "public parks" shall not be construed to include recreational fields and playgrounds.
