§ 2361 - Agreement for practice or refund by resident students
§ 2361. Agreement for practice or refund by resident students
(a) Students enrolled in a curriculum leading to the degree of Doctor of Medicine who are legal residents of this state, upon enrollment, shall sign an agreement to practice medicine in Vermont for the period of one year for each year such person is enrolled in such curriculum, or in lieu thereof, to refund to the state treasurer, through the University, the difference between the total tuition paid and the total unit cost to the state of the curriculum pursued.
(b) The unit cost to the state shall be determined by dividing the amount of the appropriation hereinbefore provided for by the total number of Vermont students enrolled in such curriculum. Annually, at the close of each college year, the registrar of the University shall certify to the state treasurer the names and post office addresses of those students who have executed such agreements together with specific information as to the unit cost determined as hereinbefore provided. The University is hereby authorized to collect such sums as may become due under the foregoing provisions and shall forthwith pay the same into the state treasury.
