8-30-307. Results of tests.

The rating of each test shall be completed and the resulting list established not later than four (4) months after the date on which the test was held, unless such time is extended by the commissioner for reasons which the commissioner shall record in the official records of the department. Each person competing in any test shall be given written notice of such person's final earned rating and of relative standing on the list, or of such person's failure to attain a place on the list, and shall be entitled to know such person's position on the resulting list of eligibles and shall be entitled to inspect the resulting list of eligibles if it is used to make a promotion or appointment, but nothing in this sentence shall be construed to exempt records presently covered by the open records law, compiled as §§ 10-7-503 10-7-506. Each person competing in a test shall, in accordance with regulations adopted by the commissioner, be entitled to inspect such person's ratings and test papers. A manifest error in rating a test shall be corrected, if called to the attention of the commissioner within one (1) month after the establishment of the list, but such correction shall not invalidate any appointment previously made from such list.
