8-30-104. Appointment of members Term of office.
The members of the commission shall be appointed by the governor from the public at large. The terms of office shall be so arranged that no more than two (2) terms expire in the same year. Of the four (4) members newly appointed, one (1) shall be for a term of two (2) years, one (1) for a term of three (3) years, one (1) for a term of four (4) years and one (1) for a term of five (5) years. Thereafter, each member shall be appointed for a term ending six (6) years from the date of the expiration of term for which the member's predecessor was appointed, except that a person appointed to fill a vacancy occurring prior to the expiration of such term shall be appointed for the remainder of the term.
