67-4-211. Failure of collector to enforce law Penalty.
(a) Any county clerk or other collecting officer who willfully or negligently fails to carry out the provisions of parts 2-6 of this chapter or any law imposing a tax on the privilege of litigation in the various courts of this state by making an incorrect assessment, or failing in any way, either in person or by agent, to faithfully enforce such parts shall forfeit in each case the sum of two hundred fifty dollars ($250) to the state of Tennessee, and shall be subject to ouster proceedings.
(b) On complaint of the commissioner, this section shall be enforced by the attorney general and reporter in any manner permitted by law.
