54-13-309. Bond of person licensed to keep a ferry or toll bridge.
The county legislative body shall compel every person licensed to keep a ferry or toll bridge to enter into a bond with good and sufficient surety, in a penalty of two thousand dollars ($2,000), payable to the state, conditioned that the person will constantly provide and keep good and sufficient boats or other proper craft, or keep the bridge in good repair, and well attended, for the crossing of travelers and others, their horses, vehicles, and effects.
