58-17C-33. If private accrediting body meets emergency medical coverage requirements, health carrier may be deemed to have done so. If the director of the Division of Insurance and the secretary of the Department of Health find that the requirements of any private accrediting body meet the requirements of coverage of emergency medical services as set forth in §§ 58-17C-27 to 58-17C-33, inclusive, the health carrier may, at the discretion of the director and secretary, be deemed to have met the applicable requirements.
