50-6-10. Authority of board--Regulation of municipal airports--Buildings and structures--Acquisition of land--Airports without corporate limits--Definition of municipal airport. The airport board shall have the power to establish, improve, care for, regulate, and manage any municipal airport and erect buildings and structures thereon and, with the approval of the governing body, acquire land for airport purposes. The governing body may place under the control and management of the board, the control, management, and operation of such municipal airport as lies within the corporate limits of the first or second class municipality or elsewhere. For the purposes of this chapter, a municipal airport shall be deemed to be as defined in this title.
