5-15-2. Appointment and terms of commission members. The Capitol Complex Restoration and Beautification Commission shall consist of one nonappointed member, who shall be the mayor of Pierre or his designee, and seven appointed members, not all of whom may be of the same political party, to be appointed by the Governor for a term of four years. However, the terms of members who are first appointed after July 1, 1980, shall be: Two appointed for a term of one year; two appointed for a term of two years; and one for a term of four years, and initial terms shall be designated by the Governor. Any member appointed to fill a vacancy arising from other than the natural expiration of a term shall serve for only the unexpired portion of the term.
