40-9A-5. Elimination plan required by owner--Review by Animal Industry Board. The owner of any quarantined pseudorabies positive swine herd shall, within ninety days of imposition of quarantine, adopt an approved herd plan for eliminating pseudorabies from the premises and obtaining quarantine release. If any herd is positive by either serum neutralization or differential pseudorabies virus tests, the Animal Industry Board, within twenty-four months after July 1, 1994, or twenty-four months after a subsequent or new infection, shall review the herd plan to determine whether the herd plan shall be extended for twelve months or whether the herd shall be depopulated within six months.
