40-7-25. Notice to owner of cattle infected with brucellosis--Appraisal in absence of protest. Whenever any cattle or bison have been adjudged to be infected with brucellosis by the Animal Industry Board, the board shall serve a written notice upon the owner, of such decision before the killing of any animal condemned. The notice shall contain the provisions for a protest according to § 40-7-26, and if no protest is made by the owner, such animal shall be appraised according to the provisions contained in § 40-7-27.
