32-9-55. Licensing a fleet of motor vehicles--Fees. Any person who owns fifty or more motor vehicles required to be licensed as commercial motor vehicles pursuant to this chapter may apply to the department to license the motor vehicles as a fleet of motor vehicles in lieu of licensing the motor vehicles with a county treasurer as provided by § 32-9-6. The person shall pay to the department all the fees required by § 32-9-15 to properly license each of the motor vehicles in the fleet. The department shall provide the necessary forms to implement this section. In addition to the registration fees, the department shall collect from the owner three dollars per license plate or set of plates when plates are sent to the owner through the mail.
