Section 2-12-12 - Disqualification on conviction for violation--Prosecution of violations.
2-12-12. Disqualification on conviction for violation--Prosecution of violations. Any person employed as a lobbyist who is convicted of a failure to comply with any provision of this chapter, or of acting as a lobbyist contrary to the provisions of this chapter shall be disbarred from acting in the capacity of lobbyist for three years following the date of such conviction.
The attorney general or the state's attorney of the county where the violation is alleged to have been committed shall bring prosecutions for the violation of the provisions of this chapter.
