§ 5-6-24.1 Apprentices certified by otherstates. Any apprentice electrician holding an apprentice certificate, license, orequivalent document issued by another state shall register with and obtain theapproval of the division of professional regulation in the department of laborand training prior to being permitted to work or serve as an electrician'sapprentice in this state. Provided, no approval shall be granted unless theapplicant demonstrates to the board that the applicant is currently enrolled inone hundred forty-four (144) hours of electrical related classroom instructionper year for not less than four (4) years in an indentured apprenticeshipprogram approved by the department of labor and training.
