§ 5-6-20 Expiration and renewal ofcertificates and licenses. (a) All certificates and/or licenses issued by the division of professionalregulation expire on the birthday of the individual qualifying for thecertificate and/or license and may be renewed on or after that date for aperiod of two (2) years upon payment of the appropriate renewal fee, whichshall be equal to the license fees prescribed in § 5-6-16, plusoutstanding license fees and a twelve dollar ($12.00) per month administrativeassessment fee for the delinquency period.
(b) Notwithstanding any other provisions of this chapter, anylicense issued under this chapter which is not renewed within two (2) years ofthe date of its expiration, shall be deemed to be forfeited, and the person towhom the license has been issued shall be required to make written applicationfor an examination prior to the issuance of a new license.
