§ 5-57-27 - Posting of license certificates and notices of license revocation.

SECTION 5-57-27

   § 5-57-27  Posting of license certificatesand notices of license revocation. – (a) Within seventy-two (72) hours after receipt of the license certificate, thelicensee shall cause the license certificate to be posted and displayed at alltimes in a conspicuous place in the principal office of the licensee within thestate. Copies of the license certificate shall also be displayed at all timesin any other offices within the state where the alarm business transactsbusiness with its customers, so that all persons visiting that place or placesmay readily see the license. Those license certificates or copies shall besubject to inspection at all reasonable times by the licensing authority.

   (b) It is unlawful for any person holding a licensecertificate to knowingly and willfully post that license certificate or permitthat license certificate to be posted upon premises other than those describedin the license certificate or to knowingly and willfully alter that licensecertificate. Each license certificate shall be surrendered to the licensingauthority within seventy-two (72) hours after it is revoked or after thelicensee ceases to do business, subject to § 5-57-20(b). If, the licensingauthority or a court of competent jurisdiction has pending before it any matterrelating to the renewal, revocation, or transfer of a license, the licensee isnot required to surrender the license until the matter has been adjudicated andall appeals have been exhausted. When the licensee receives final notice thatits license is revoked, a copy of that notice shall be displayed and posted inclose proximity to the license certificate until the licensee terminates itsoperations.
