§ 5-38-6 Applications for licenses. –Application for license shall be made in duplicate to the department ofbusiness regulation in any form that the department requires and shall beaccompanied by the required fee and evidence of financial responsibility. Thedepartment may require, in that application, information relating to theapplicant's financial standing, the applicant's business integrity, whether theapplicant has an established place of business, whether the applicant isproperly able to conduct the business of an automobile body repair shop, andany other pertinent information consistent with the safeguarding of the publicinterest in the location in which that applicant proposes to engage inbusiness, all of which may be considered by the department in determiningwhether the granting of that application is in the public interest. In theevent of denial of an application, the filing fee paid with that applicationshall be refunded.
