§ 5-32-6 Examination of applicants Expiration and renewal of certificates. (a) Examination of applicants for certificates shall be held at least twice ayear in the city of Providence and may be held elsewhere at the discretion ofthe division of professional regulation of the department of health. Thedivision has the power to adopt, change, alter and amend, rules and regulationsfor the conducting of those examinations, and may fix the fee forreexamination. The division shall issue to each person successfully passing theexamination, where an examination is required, and who satisfies the divisionof his or her qualifications, a certificate, signed by the administrator of thedivision, entitling him or her to practice that business in this state for theannual period stated in the certificate, or until the certificate is revoked orsuspended, as subsequently provided.
(b) All certificates shall expire on the 30th day of April ofeach year, unless sooner suspended or revoked, and shall be renewed for thenext ensuing year by the division upon payment to the division of an annualrenewal fee of thirty-one dollars and fifty cents ($31.50) for each renewal.
