§ 5-20.7-9 Requirements prior tocertification or licensing examination. (a) Residential classification. As a prerequisite to taking theexamination for certification as a state certified residential real estateappraiser, an applicant shall present evidence satisfactory to the board thathe or she has successfully completed the required classroom hours of coursespromulgated by the appraisal qualifications board of the Appraisal Foundationin subjects related to real estate appraisal and the uniform standards ofprofessional appraisal practice from a duly licensed real estate schoolpursuant to the provisions of § 5-20.5-19 or a nationally recognizedappraisal organization, college, university, or other school approved by theappraisal qualifications board of the Appraisal Foundation, or any other schoolthat is approved by the board.
(b) General classification. As a prerequisite totaking the examination for certification as a state certified general realestate appraiser, an applicant shall present evidence satisfactory to thedirector that he or she has successfully completed the required classroom hoursof courses promulgated by the appraisal qualifications board of the AppraisalFoundation in subjects related to real estate appraisal and the uniformstandards of professional appraisal practice from a duly licensed real estateschool pursuant to the provisions of § 5-20.5-19, or a nationallyrecognized appraisal organization, college, university, or other schoolapproved by the appraisal qualifications board of the Appraisal Foundation, orsuch other school as approved by the board.
(c) Licensed real estate appraiser. As a prerequisiteto taking the examination for licensing as a state licensed residential realestate appraiser, an applicant shall present evidence satisfactory to the boardthat he or she has successfully completed the required classroom hours ofcourses promulgated by the appraisal qualifications board of the AppraisalFoundation in subjects related to real estate appraisal and the uniformstandards of professional appraisal practice from a duly licensed real estateschool pursuant to the provisions of § 5-20.5-19 or a nationallyrecognized appraisal organization, college, university, or other schoolapproved by the appraisal qualifications board of the Appraisal Foundation, orany other school that is approved by the board.
