§ 46-9.1-21 Penalties. (a) Acting as pilot while under suspension. Any pilot whose license hasbeen suspended or revoked who shall, during the period of his or her suspensionor after the revocation of his or her license, act as a pilot, shall be subjectto a fine of not to exceed five hundred dollars ($500) and such disciplinaryaction as the commission shall deem advisable. Each violation shall be deemed aseparate offense.
(b) Surrender of license. A pilot whose license hasbeen revoked or suspended shall surrender his or her license to the commissionwho shall retain it until the period of his or her suspension shall expire. Anysuspended pilot who refuses to surrender his or her license on demand shall besubject to a fine of not to exceed five hundred dollars ($500), and thecommission may cause to be published in a newspaper published in the State ofRhode Island a notice that such person has no authority to act as a pilotunless and until reinstated according to law.
