§ 42-21-1 Transferred functions performedby department head – Rights of appeal. – Except as otherwise provided in this title, the head of a department or anyother agency assuming any duties formerly imposed upon any other department oragency, and transferred by chapter 660 of the Public Laws of 1939, shallperform the duties of such department or agency, notwithstanding that thedepartment or agency formerly performing those duties was a board, commission,or single officer. Any ruling, decision, or order made by the department oragency head with regard to matters within his or her jurisdiction shall besubject to any existing right of appeal to a court of competent jurisdiction.
