§ 40-6-1 - Short title – "Public assistance" and "department" defined.

SECTION 40-6-1

   § 40-6-1  Short title – "Publicassistance" and "department" defined. – This chapter shall be known and may be cited as the "Public Assistance Act".General public assistance (GPA), supplemental security income (SSI), and foodstamps (FS), which programs are administered and/or financed in whole or inpart by the Rhode Island department of human services, shall constitute publicassistance. For purposes of this chapter, the term "department" shall mean theRhode Island department of human services.
