§ 40.1-24.5-18 Severability. – If any clause, sentence, paragraph, section, or part of this chapter shall beadjudged by any court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, the judgmentshall not affect, impair, or invalidate the remainder of the chapter, but shallbe confined in its operation to the clause, sentence, paragraph, section, orpart thereof directly involved in the controversy in which the judgment shallbe rendered.
