§ 37-2-60 Public announcement of neededarchitectural, engineering, and consultant services. – The chief purchasing officer shall give public notice of the need forarchitectural, engineering, or consultant services which are reasonablyestimated to exceed twenty thousand dollars ($20,000). The public notice shallbe published sufficiently in advance of the date when responses must bereceived in order that interested parties have an adequate opportunity tosubmit a statement of qualifications and performance data. The notice shallcontain a brief statement of the services required, describe the project, andspecify how a solicitation containing specific information on the project maybe obtained. The notice shall be published in a newspaper of generalcirculation in the state and in any other publications as in the judgment ofthe committee shall be desirable.
