§ 34-15-3 Cotenants of estates ofinheritance and for life or years. – All joint tenants, coparceners, and tenants in common, who now are or hereaftermay be actually seised or possessed of any estate for life or years in anylands, tenements, or hereditaments, with others who have estates of inheritancein possession in the same lands, tenements, and hereditaments, may compel or becompelled to make partition of those lands, tenements, and hereditaments, tocontinue until the estate of some of the parties shall determine, and nolonger, by civil action.
