§ 31-32-28 - Recorded bond constitutes a lien.

SECTION 31-32-28

   § 31-32-28  Recorded bond constitutes alien. – The bond shall constitute a lien in favor of the state upon the real estate soscheduled of any surety, which lien shall exist in favor of any holder of afinal judgment against the person who has filed the bond, for damages,including damages for care and loss of services, because of bodily injury to ordeath of any person, or for damages because of injury to or destruction ofproperty, including the loss of use of it, resulting from the ownership,maintenance, use, or operation of a vehicle of a type subject to registrationunder the laws of this state after the bond was filed, upon the filing ofnotice to that effect by the division of motor vehicles in the office of thetown clerk or recorder of deeds in the town or city where the real estate shallbe located.
