§ 30-10-11 Maintenance of state arsenal inProvidence. The general assembly shall annually appropriate such a sum as it may deemnecessary, out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated, for thepurpose of heating, lighting, and maintaining the state arsenal on BenefitStreet in the city of Providence occupied by the Providence marine corps ofartillery, so long as these premises are also occupied by the sons of unionveterans of the civil war, or the united Spanish war veterans, or theassociated or auxiliary organizations of any of them, as quarters for thedifferent posts camps, or headquarters for the department of Rhode Island, andso long as these premises are also occupied by the first light infantryregiment, Rhode Island militia, or the first light infantry veterans, or anyorganization auxiliary to them, or so long as any portion of these premises isalso occupied for any other purpose under the authority of the laws of thisstate.
